I never really intended for my journals to become something anyone else would read.
They were simply a place to put thoughts I couldn’t always say out loud.
Some entries are reflections on my mental health, faith, healing, and the things I’ve learned along the way. Others are about my family, the outdoors, hunting, hiking, or something as simple as a sunrise I almost missed.
And some are just… random.
That’s the honest part of journaling.
Not every thought has a lesson. Not every page has a beginning, middle, and end. Sometimes I write because something matters deeply to me. Sometimes I write because I need to get something out of my head. And sometimes I don’t even know why I’m writing it until much later.
My writing has changed over time.
Today, I notice things I might have once overlooked—the sunrise, the quiet of being outside, the people sitting beside me, the ordinary moments that I once took for granted.
My family has always loved the outdoors, and it has become one of the places where we feel most like ourselves. So you’ll find some of that here, too.
These aren’t meant to be perfect.
They’re simply pieces of my life, written as I experienced them.
Some have a story.
Some have a lesson.
Some are just a thought.
But all of them are mine.
And maybe, somewhere in the random pieces, you’ll find something that feels a little like you, too.
